WHAT IS SMP?

Scalp micropigmentation, or SMP for short, is a cosmetic tattoo used to restore bald or thinning hair. The non-surgical procedure deposits ink into the scalp to mimic the look of a shaved head and can be used to create the illusion of a hairline or make thinning hair appear fuller.

SMP does not penetrate the skin as deeply as a tattoo and uses special ink that won’t change colors through time. Colors are selected to match the person’s hair color and scalp color, ensuring that the hairline looks as natural as possible.

SMP is completed in three sessions, scheduled 4 weeks apart. Each session takes approximately two to three hours and the area is thoroughly numbed before any work begins.

SMP is recommended for people of all skin types and hair colors, and can also be used to cover scars, hide burns and treat other hair-loss condition.

About Scalp Micro-Pigmentation

Scalp micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that, with micro-needles, deposits organic ink pigments in the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the appearance of hair. The goal of this treatment is to mask any imperfections due to hair loss (hair loss, alopecia, scarring, etc.). This treatment is non-surgical and involves little pain, no bleeding and little maintenance. Hair micropigmentation does not target any particular ethnic group since we replicate your follicles and create your style type so that it is as natural and invisible as possible.

The duration of the treatment varies between 3 and 5 years and then gradually fades, you must then do a touch-up to refresh the hair.
